'A MODERN INTERPRETATION OF AN OLD FLOWER SHOP, TRANSLATED INTO A DISTINCTIVE INTERIOR'
:quality(85))
A BUILDING WITH A PAST
In the middle of the center of Utrecht, you will find Ruby Rose, a restaurant where experience is central. From the interior to the menu: everything is elaborated in detail and together forms a strong and recognizable concept.
The name Ruby Rose originates from the history of the property. In the early 1900s, the building was designed as a flower warehouse named Aurora, named after the goddess of dawn. That floral origin is still clearly noticeable today. The many roses and botanical influences in the interior are a direct ode to this era but translated into a contemporary and luxurious setting.
INTERIOR AS EYE-CATCHER
Upon entering, the long red marble bar immediately stands out, running as a central element through the restaurant. Above it hangs a pergola full of roses, creating a distinctive and recognizable sight. And don't forget to look up: the decorated ceiling is truly an eye-catcher. The entire space feels warm and luxurious with subtle references to the building's past everywhere.
FROM LUNCH TO DINNER
During the day, Ruby Rose is an ideal place for lunch. The menu offers various options, but Ruby's Tree is what the place is known for. These are the nine best dishes from the menu served in a rose tree. During this sharing lunch, vegetarians can also be accommodated.
In the evening, the concept revolves around Mediterranean dishes. No traditional course structure, but a table full of smaller dishes to share together. This creates an informal and dynamic atmosphere, where both an extensive dinner and a casual drink are possible.
The menu constantly changes. New dishes are added monthly, and about half of the menu is renewed quarterly, often tailored to the season. This keeps the menu surprising and innovative.
