Melle, Osnabrück and surroundings
Shopping, walking, cycling, golfing, or soaking up culture – from our hotel, you don't have to go far. From romantic old town centers to large shopping malls: the cities of Melle, Osnabrück, and Bielefeld have something for everyone. The surroundings also offer plenty of sights. For example, visit the Baroque Iburg Castle, the Renaissance water castle Schelenburg, or the Neo-Romanesque Neu Barenaue Castle.
Through an extensive network of walking and cycling paths, you will discover the nature park Nördlicher Teutoburger Wald and Wiehengebirge. Long-distance routes run along the mountain ridges, with a total length of more than 500 kilometers. Popular hiking trails include the Wittekindsweg, Hermannsweg, Pickerweg, Töddenweg, Friesenweg, and Ems-Hase-Hunte-Elsen-Weg. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can choose from no less than 1,800 kilometers of well-marked hiking trails or use one of the many cycling routes.
The region is also known as a true golfer's paradise: in the nearby area you will find some of the most beautiful golf courses in Germany, set in a picturesque setting of forests and rolling hills.
