In our restaurant, you are very welcome for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu features delicious dishes and the freshest seasonal specialties such as asparagus, a pot of mussels, or hare stew. If the sun is shining, you can relax on our cozy terrace.

Hotel

Long before this became a Van der Valk hotel, it was already a hotel. It has been in existence since 1821. It is a beautiful, classic hotel with modern facilities. You can still find the atmosphere of the past everywhere, for example in our restaurant or on the ceiling beams. They are adorned with Frisian sayings that were painted there in the early sixties by the then house painter. Our hotel has 32 rooms at a 3-star level. If you want to truly enjoy in peace and space, choose one of our spacious Comfort rooms.

A business meeting or something to celebrate? For every meeting or party, you can use one of our three rooms. They are suitable for groups of 10 to 225 guests.

Our hotel is located on a quiet village road. Step out the door and admire the beautiful Frisian surroundings. Visit the stunning lakes, take the ferry to the Wadden Islands, or stroll through one of the Frisian cities. Within 10 minutes, you can reach Leeuwarden by car. This city offers a diverse center with various small boutiques, large retail chains, and delicious restaurants. Don't forget to visit the Fries Museum and the Fries Resistance Museum. There is always something going on in the historic (sea)port city of Harlingen or the beautiful town of Dokkum. If you want to enjoy nature, the Alde Feanen National Park is located about 15 kilometers from our hotel. Furthermore, our hotel is the perfect base to drive (part of) the famous Elfstedentocht by car, motorcycle, or bicycle. You can rent bicycles from us.
