With its open bathroom with a double whirlpool bath, separate shower, sauna, and a French balcony, the wellness suite is perfect for those looking for something different.

The rooms are stylishly decorated, with an eye for comfort and detail. In one of our four luxury boardrooms, you can accommodate small groups of up to 12 people.

Drachten and surroundings

Hotel Drachten is an ideal base for exploring the area. It is close to the water-rich environment of the National Park De Alde Feanen in Earnewâld and the forests of Beetsterzwaag and Bakkeveen. Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Groningen are easily accessible by public transport. You can even catch the bus at the bus transferium behind our hotel. Take a stroll through Drachten and visit Museum Dr8888, one of the leading museums for modern art in the northern Netherlands, with a special (inter)national collection featuring works by artists such as Theo van Doesburg, Kurt Schwitters, and Thijs Rinsema. From Hotel Drachten, you can also explore Friesland by bike. The cycling map of "Fietsnetwerk Fryslân" will guide you through various routes to the most beautiful spots around Drachten. You can cycle through the forest, along the water, and through villages, with plenty of terraces for a cup of coffee and a break.
