'Joep infected me with the travel bug. When we started dating, he went on a trip shortly after. In a spontaneous moment, I booked a plane ticket to Sydney to join him. It was the best decision ever! Together, we have seen many beautiful countries while backpacking. With our daughter Sophie, we spent the first years going camping in France. When you have a child, you can't really travel far, right? That's what we, like many other parents, thought. But we weren't truly happy with that. We really wanted to travel long-term again. In 2019, when Sophie was just four years old, we went on our first long trip and more followed. We received many questions about it, so we started sharing our experiences on our travel blog Reiskoe. It is now filled with our personal tips and travel stories.'

A PARTY

The best thing about traveling, in my opinion, is the element of surprise: where will you end up? This can also be experienced very well in the Netherlands, as there is still so much to discover here. We like to go to Van der Valk. It feels familiar: you know that everything is well organized and the hotels are child-friendly. Moreover, we are always surprised there: a gigantic bathtub, a penthouse with an amazing view, a bunk bed with a slide; how fun! In addition, the extensive buffets are a party for everyone with always something special, like a chocolate fountain or a snack wall. We then write about it to inspire other families to go away together as well: for us, it is the most beautiful thing there is!
