Near the hotel is the nature reserve De Onlanden. By going for a run or walk here in the morning, you can explore the surroundings and wake up feeling refreshed. You can also take beautiful bike rides here, which you can easily rent at the hotel. Prefer to exercise indoors? On the sixth floor, you can use the fitness room with a great view. In the Wellness suite White, you can relax in the large hot tub and sauna afterwards. After this sporty and relaxing start to the day, you are completely ready to discover Groningen.

Shopping is of course part of a city trip. That's great, because in Groningen you can find the nicest shops. Especially the Oude Kijk in 't Jatstraat is a must-visit. Here you will find many unique shops such as a game store, interior shop, travel bookstore, and the vintage clothing store LILOS where you can really score the coolest items. So, be prepared to go home with more bags than you brought with you.

If you want to relax in between shopping, make a stop at the coffee and wine bar Cappuvino. Here you can just as easily have a coffee or a glass of wine, whatever you prefer. And be sure to visit Spaak, the bike café of Groningen. You can get your bike repaired here and in the meantime enjoy a delicious homemade pastry or a nice lunch. Even without a broken bike, this café is worth a visit.

ART LOVERS PAY ATTENTION

In the middle of the entertainment district you will find the Papengang. Here you will be amazed. This alley is a colorful place with graffiti art. You can find a lot of street art in the city anyway. Follow one of the various art routes to experience the creative vibe of the city. You will find even more art at the Groninger Museum. The permanent collection and the different exhibitions will surprise you every time. Don't forget to visit the Forum. This impressive building is located in the heart of the city. It houses five cinemas, the city library, restaurants, and you can indulge your art heart with the changing exhibitions. Be sure to visit the city's highest rooftop terrace for the best view of the Martinitoren and beyond.
